البداية والنهاية

البداية والنهاية هو عمل موسوعي تاريخي ضخم، ألفه ابن كثير إسماعيل بن عمر الدمشقي المتوفي سنة 774هـ، والكتاب مؤسس حسب معتقدات الديانة الإسلامية.

وهو عبارة عن عرض للتاريخ من بدء الخلق إلى نهايته يبدأ ببداية خلق السماوات والأرض والملائكة إلى خلق آدم، ثم يتطرق إلى قصص الأنبياء مختصراً ثم التفصيل في الأحداث التاريخية منذ مبعث النبي محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم حتى سنة 767 هـ بطريقة التبويب على السنوات. وتبدأ السنة بقوله "ثم دخلت سنة.." ثم يسرد الأحداث التاريخية فيها ثم يذكر أبرز من توفوا في هذه السنة. أما جزء النهاية ففيه علامات الساعة لغاية يوم الحساب بالتفصيل.

قال ابن كثير عن كتابه : «" فهذا الكتاب أذكر فيه بعون الله وحسن توفيقه ما يسره الله تعالى بحوله وقوته من ذكر مبدأ المخلوقات‏:‏ من خلق العرش والكرسي والسماوات، والأرضين ...، وقصص النبيين ... ، حتى تنتهي النبوة إلى أيام نبينا محمد صلوات الله وسلامه عليه ثم نذكر ما بعد ذلك إلى زماننا، ونذكر الفتن والملاحم وأشراط الساعة‏.‏ ثم البعث والنشور وأهوال القيامة.... وما ورد في ذلك من الكتاب والسنة والآثار والأخبار المنقولة المعقولة عند العلماء وورثة الأنبياء..."» فكان الكتاب بحق المرآة الصادقة ، والمرجع الأصيل لأهل هذا الفن.

The beginning and the end is a huge historic encyclopedic work, written by the son of many Ismail Omar bin Damascene deceased in 774 AH, and the book by the founder of the beliefs of the Islamic religion.

It is a display of the history of the beginning of creation to an end starts the beginning of the creation of the heavens and the earth and the angels to the creation of Adam, and then deals with the stories of the prophets brief then detail in the historical events since the source of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him until the year 767 AH way tab on the past. And start the year by saying, "then he entered the year .." and then lists the historical events which then mentions the most prominent of those who died in this year. The end part is subject to time signs up to the day of reckoning in detail.

Ibn Kathir said about his book: «" This book mention the help of God and the good God Almighty is pleased Bholh and strength of the male principle of creatures: from the creation of the throne and the chair and the heavens, and earths ... and the stories of the Prophets ..., so prophecy to expire days of our Prophet Muhammad God and prayers be upon him then recall what then to our time, and recall the tribulations and epics and Signs of the Hour. Then the Resurrection and the horrors of the Resurrection .... what is mentioned in this book, Sunnis and effects and news transmitted reasonable when scientists and the heirs of the prophets ... "» The book was truly sincere mirror, and authentic reference for the people of this art.
